Description
A working planetary gear set in your hand: a sun gear in the middle, a ring of small herringbone planet gears around it and an outer ring gear that holds them all. Turn one part and the others turn with it, smooth and slightly geared-down, endlessly satisfying to watch. Nothing to assemble. It is compact: 4.2 cm (1.7 in) across and 1.3 cm (0.5 in) thick. Use See inside in the preview to turn the outer ring translucent and watch the gears mesh (a preview effect; the real ring is solid color). Choose two colors: Color 1 is the outer ring and Color 2 the gears. Purple with golden yellow is shown. Picking the same color twice gives a single-tone piece. Add the Silk (shiny) finish for a glossy sheen. The gears can feel a little stiff at first and loosen up with use. Made to order in the colors you choose.
